The prices of these hotel rooms fluctuate a lot depending on what time of the year you visit. Prices are higher on long weekends and usually lower in peak summer time. It just requires a bit of deal hunting.
There are a lot of other activities like Spa, Golf, Helicopter tours, Desert tours, shopping, or just take a 40 minutes drive to Lake Mead park for camping, fishing, boating and rafting. Hoover dam, Death Valley, or even a 5.5 hour drive to Grand Canyon National Park (South Rim). Vegas is truly a remarkable travel and tourism destination.
BRIEF HISTORY:
Las Vegas was founded in the year 1905 in Clark County, Nevada (USA). The starting of construction of the Hoover dam (70 story high dam and among wonders of modern world) in 1931 brought thousands of people around this area and the same year gambling was legalized in Nevada state. Soon several casinos started opening in Vegas. The lenient state laws allowed Las Vegas to be a popular wedding destination, with wedding chapels operating round the clock. Hotel Flamingo opened in 1946, Las Vegas Hilton in 1969, MGM grand in 1973 later renamed as Bally's. The Mirage, which opened in 1989 started the age of Mega resorts. The population of Vegas almost doubled between year 1990 and 2000.

McCarran Airport (LAS) is located at the southern end of the Strip and is one of the busiest airports of the world. Las Vegas travel is largely convenient due to the McCarran Airport.
WEATHER:
Las Vegas gets hot during the summer months (June to Sept) and daytime high is around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. In winter the lowest temperature is around 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Although any time is good to visit Vegas, the spring and fall seasons are generally considered the best time to visit.
